-Practiced patient greetings/check-ins to properly identify patients before starting a procedure

-Warmed up puncture site to increase chances of a successful venipuncture and drew blood in the correct tube order: light blue, red, SST, green, lavender, pink, and gray

-Quickly learned all the additives, amount of inversions, and the centrifuging process for each tube collection

-Adhered to OSHA safety guidelines by wearing personal protective equipment, including gloves, goggles, gowns, and masks to prevent self and others from potential harm

-Safely capped needles before disposing into the sharps container and discarded blood-borne pathogen materials into the biohazard waste bin to prevent cross-contamination
