    About the Role

    The Office Manager position plays an important part in our school community. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the entire staff at our school to support front office needs, as well as develop meaningful relationships with students and families.

    Most importantly, our schools embrace a culture of care-physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually, both in and out of the classroom. This position will play a critical role in supporting the school community, ensuring an environment where children are at the center of everything we do, and creating a comfortable atmosphere for our students, parents, and staff.

    • Provide superior customer service to students, parents, and staff members
    • Be proactive in responding to parent concerns
    • Answer phones and provide a presence at the front desk
    • Place supply and materials orders for school/staff as needed
    • Maintain student and office files
    • Assist with minor student injuries and take care of students sent to office for various ailments (scratches, temperatures, sore throats, headaches, bumps, etc.). Consult with administration to determine parent contact and/or next steps.
    • Administer medications to students, as needed, and maintain medication logs.
    • Inventory medications, office supplies, spirit wear, and other school related materials.
    • Assist with lunch ordering and delivery.
    • Track or record all other activities that take place at school (pictures, fundraisers, book orders, etc.).
    • Print attendance sheets, classroom lists, schedules, school memos, etc. for teachers, as needed.
    • Maintain sign-in / sign-out sheets, late pick up logs, and visitor/volunteer logs as needed.
    • Receive and sign for packages and mail.
    • Assemble student packets, enrollment packets, and other materials as necessary.
    • Communicate with campus security, as needed.
    • Maintain a professional and organized front office and lobby environment that promotes a culture of care and is conducive to business and learning.
    • At the direction of the Head of School, Principal and/or Assistant Principal, coordinates resolution of minor behavioral problems, as needed.
    • Timely answer inquiries (in-person, via email or via phone) according to SEG established sales practices and expectations.
    What We Are Looking For
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Two or more years of similar or related experience. Prior experience working in a school environment is preferred
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • Strong people and communication skills
    • Ability to utilize technology to effectively communicate with staff, parents and corporate office.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power Point and/or Apple Suite including Keynote, Pages, and Numbers, and Google including Google Docs, Google Forms, and Google Drives.
    • Demonstrated ability to utilize email and the Internet.
