    Description

    PSYOP/MISO Planner Position at SRG

    SRG is in search of a skilled psychological operations (PSYOP) / Military Information Support Operations (MISO) planner to effectively incorporate MISO functions and tasks into all aspects of Combatant Command (CCMD) / Unified Command level planning. The planner will ensure that the command group and staff take into account PSYOP/MISO in the decision-making process.

    The selected candidate will be responsible for integrating PSYOP/MISO into all contingency and operations plans, ensuring that PSYOP/MISO capabilities are considered in both deliberate and crisis action planning processes. The PSYOP/MISO planner must possess exceptional mission analysis, analytic problem-solving, and assessment skills.

    Moreover, the ideal candidate should exhibit the ability to review, analyze, and operationalize tactical and operational-level IO-related directives supporting mission elements. They must also be adept at applying technical skills to tactical, operational, and strategic level planning/execution.

    The candidate should have a working knowledge of information operations (IO), military deception (MILDEC), operations security (OPSEC), electronic warfare (EW), and cyberspace operations missions, tasks, and overall warfighting functions that support operations. Familiarity with other core, supporting, and related IO competencies is also required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Integrate with interagency and intelligence community (IC)
    • Develop innovative concepts to counter adversarial use of information in the Information Environment (IE)
    • Provide advice concerning the application of PSYOP/MISO during the development of operational concepts
    • Coordinate activities of mutual concern

    Basic Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree and years of planning experience or a combined total of a minimum of 12 years between education and relevant service. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of education requirements.

    • PSYOP (37A/37F) career field
    • Knowledge of joint operational planning process, military decision-making process, and military campaign plan planning
    • Have a minimum of 5-8 years of experience with MISO planning at the service or joint level
    • Knowledge of service departments functions and their relationships to CCMDs to coordinate PSYOP/MISO actions
    • Experience with joint and/or combined military operations and interagency coordination
    • Knowledge of DoD, joint, and Army service doctrine, regulations, and policies
    • Capable of recommending changes to policy, force structure and design
    • Proficient in integrating PSYOP/MISO capabilities into cyber plans and operations
    • Knowledge of military command relationships and command and control (C2) procedures
    • Able to coordinate PSYOP/MISO actions within the proper channels and develop policies
    • Experience with integrating, coordinating, and synchronizing adjacent and supporting operations
