**QUALIFICATIONS:**
The job requires a 4-year degree and seven years of related experience or equivalent. Must have knowledge of electrical controls and the automation market. Must be able to work with a variety of people. Demonstrates proficiency in leadership, communication, sales execution.
**JOB SUMMARY:**
Perform functions to supervise the sales operations in a designated region. Promote product, solve product problems and work with personal/political issues between all parties for the benefit of all. This job is pivotal to the future and stabilization of the company by being the front line and link between customers and channel to the factory.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Collaborate with the VP of Sales to establish and execute a sales goal for the region
Manage a sales channel in order to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed corporate set goals.
Develop specific plans to ensure growth both long and short-term.
Forecast annual and quarterly sales goals.
Communicate and interpret Turck objectives and policies as they relate to the sales channel functions, both direct and indirect depending on the composition of the sales region.
2. Look for innovative ways to grow the sales region, including a focus on new product introduction within a given sales region.
Communicate with Product Divisions for product extensions, new product development, product support and quality related issues.
3. Follow up on orders and activities of quotes and samples. Make frequent field sales calls with the sales channel to assist with closing orders with key accounts, to assist with product application problems and to resolve product and service complaints.
4. Promote products with customers and the sales channel to gain and increase mindshare of Turcks products, solutions and services. Implement methods to motivate the regional sales channel to devote more of their selling time to Turcks products, solutions and services.
Devise and implement methods to motivate the regional sales staff (independent manufacturers reps, territory managers, business development managers and distributors) and customers on new products, solutions, services, applications and sales promotions.
5. Resolve regional people/political issues as they arise, including customer problems.
6. Assist in the investigation, recruiting, hiring, and termination of sales channel partners.
Review and analyze sales data by rep., distributor, and geographic territory to appraise performance. Review results with VP of Sales and make recommendations relative to changes in the sales channel, existing sales policies, sales techniques, competitive activities, etc.
7. Respond to and utilize available resources for technical questions from the sales channel and customers.
8. Participate in factory sales training seminars and sales management meetings, as required.
9. Assist with formulating sales policies, advertising programs, marketing plans, sales objectives and quotas.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
