Description
Position Summary:
The IT Business Partner will work closely with Human Resource leaders to maximize the impact of IT capabilities on business performance and ensure IT services meet business needs and objectives.
Reporting to the Head of Enabling Functions Business Partner lead, this person will play a critical role to ensure the Human Resource function leverages technology solutions to achieve business objectives.
This position will work closely with other Zoetis Tech & Digital (IT) functions including the Digital, Data & Analytics, IT Compliance, Infrastructure, Operations, Project Management Office along with business colleagues and 3rd party Providers to plan, define and execute all design and development related activities.
Act as the senior IT advisor to Human Resource leadershipManage team of - 3 colleagues that support Human Resource technologies solutions
Drive business process improvement and automation using new and existing IT capabilities
Identify potential new business capabilities to be enabled and implemented leveraging technology
Facilitate and become the liaison for communications between IT and the business
Participate in the development of IT business strategies and plans that support the long-term Human Resource vision
Participate in the enterprise portfolio and budget development process by representing business priorities and objectives
Develop, manage, and own approved budget spends, update forecasts and ensure actual expenses are properly captured and accounted throughout project timelines
Participate in business leadership team meetings to better understand potential issues or opportunities
Develop and manage Human Resource project portfolios while providing consistent, open communication with the IT Head of Enabling Functions and Human Resource leadership team to ensure agreement on approach
Develop business/functional cross platform solution requirements
Assure delivery of IT solutions and services, and owning resolution of delivery issues
Qualifications:
Proven ability to establish and maintain long term relationship with senior leaders in both IT and business groups
Requires experience in enterprise level IT Organization
Excellent follow-through on detailed tasks
Must possess organizational proficiencies to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under limited supervision
Must be highly motivated, self-starting, and committed to achieving results and have a strong sense of ownership and follow-through to resolution
Experience in Service Delivery Management
Requires a thorough understanding of Scorecards, Dashboards, SOWs, SLAs, OLA's and Performance management Metrics
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree required
10-12+ years of experience within IT and/or as part of a Human Resource function
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated ability to absorb and analyze new technologies and business processes
Strong knowledge with enterprise applications used to support the business function
Proven ability to interface with personnel at all levels, including senior leadership executives
Prior experience in partnering with the Human Resource function to define and deliver technology solutions
Knowledge, Skills, Ability Requirements:
Communication Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively to be able to participate in business discussions and planning sessions
Negotiations Skills:
Must possess strong negotiations skills when building agreements and contracts with the business
Relationship Management:
Must maintain a strong positive relationship with senior level business owners; should be seen as a partner and advisor and should work to maintain high customer satisfaction
Influence:
Must be able to effectively market and sell IT services to the business units
Strong working knowledge of Workday, enterprise LMS applications (Success Factors preferred) and enterprise Workforce Planning capabilities
Industry/Business Knowledge - Should understand issues and trends facing the Animal Health industry in addition to issues specific to their aligned business unit
Tech-Savvy - Should be able to speak intelligently on the advantages and disadvantages of a broad range of technologies and services provided
Human Resource Management - Should be able to assist in developing business cases for IT solutions
