    Description


    We are seeking a Service Director at Tail Up Goat.

    Tail Up Goat is a renowned Michelin starred and James Beard nominated restaurant, committed to sustainability, seasonal cuisine, and responsible sourcing. We need an individual who embodies kindness in all interactions and fosters a warm and inclusive environment for both colleagues and guests.

    • Prior management experience (in restaurants or other relevant fields)
    • Experience in wine sales (certification not mandatory)
    • Passion for food, beverages, and discussing them enthusiastically

    Responsibilities include:

    • Developing onboarding and training materials for Front of House team
    • Facilitating staff training programs
    • Utilizing expertise to enhance the management team
    • Supervising service operations and the Front of House team, including managing reservations
    • Coordinating menu changes with the kitchen staff
    • Creating Front of House schedules
    • Conducting wine sales during service and assisting with inventory
    • Crafting exceptional dining experiences for guests and resolving issues efficiently

    The role requires a five-day workweek with an average of 44-48 hours, necessitating full availability as the restaurant operates seven evenings a week for dinner. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
