Core Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of up to six employees and be responsible for developing employees, setting goals, and promoting accountability among all team members.
  • Serve as the single point of contact between IT and FP&A to oversee and support the financial management activities and needs of the IT organization.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and IT Leadership to guide the annual Capital and O&M budgeting process for ConEd and ORU, which includes labor, nonlabor, and capital projects, as well as managing ePBCS budget system entries for ORU and presenting to IT leaders, business, and customers.
  • Facilitate the monthly forecasting process with IT budget owners (CECONY & ORU), relay financial performance results with detailed variance explanations, and offer strategic recommendations to IT leadership on financerelated decisions
  • Work closely with FP&A to provide business insight, trend analysis, and decision support for the IT leadership team. Utilize tools (EBS, Oracle BI, PowerBI) to create reports, dashboards, and insights on the IT budget (Capital and O&M).
  • Cultivate a proactive, customercentric culture to build trust and confidence among customers and enhance value for all stakeholders
  • Develop the standards, processes and tools to facilitate Project Management excellence in Information Technology (IT) projects and/or programs and provide insight and guidance, as needed, to ensure necessary standards are consistently applied.
  • Partner with FP&A, LAW, and IT leadership to manage the IT Rate Case preparation, tracking, and budget reconciliation
  • Work closely with FP&A to gather forecasting data, compile materials, and share insights during the IT Board for quarterly governance meetings.
  • Develop and implement a performance management process that includes formulating, reporting, and analyzing IT KPIs, metrics, and goals including obtaining input from IT Leadership.
  • Support departmental goals through comprehensive analysis of financial, capital portfolio, and governance data, and developing process changes, updates, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and IT Leadership to identify opportunities and areas of improvement to optimize financial processes.
  • Analyze capital project information and make recommendations to IT leadership on portfolio optimization related decisions.
  • Attend and present, as needed, at the quarterly PSC budget meeting to report on the status of the IT capital portfolio.

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Finance, Computer Science or similar analytical discipline. and a minimum of eight (8) years of related experiences. or
  • Master's Degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science or similar analytical discipline. and a minimum of six (6) years of related experiences.

  • Master's Degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science or similar analytical discipline. and a minimum of six (6) years of related experiences.

Relevant Work Experience

  • 2 years (2) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Experience in a business analysis capacity, e.g. business management, technology analysis/development, finance, audit, budget/cost management, planning/forecasting, scheduling, consulting or corporate shared service function.
  • Experience managing financials (e.g. project, contracts).
  • Experience leading teams and implementing either Business or Information Technology projects or programs, or demonstrate a proven ability to manage process improvement projects through to successful completion.
  • Experience working in a project or program management office (PMO), in an auditing or quality assurance role.
  • Experience participating in a rate case.
  • Experience working with business organizations on business and technology solutions.
