Founded in 1881, Spelman College is a private four-year liberal arts college located in Atlanta, GA. The oldest historically Black college for women in the United States, Spelman is a member of the Atlanta University Center Consortium and Atlanta Regional Consortium for Higher Education.
Position Description:The Department of Environmental and Health Sciences invites applications for a part-time Lecturer of Health Science to begin in January 2024 (Spring). We seek outstanding scholar-teachers dedicated to excellence in teaching concepts and theories of sustainability. The department has a strong and proven reputation for educating and training women of African descent to excel in STEM fields. The successful applicant will have a doctorate in health science or a related area and is prepared to teach courses at the undergraduate level. Candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to working with women and underrepresented minority students through teaching, mentoring, and research are especially encouraged to apply.
