To strengthen our team, we are currently seeking a Head of Funding Programs, Lecture Program, and Publications (m/f/d) for our Atlanta location.

This is a long-term position with a promising future.


Responsibilities:

  • Conceptual responsibility for our science funding programs
  • Processing of funding applications, coordination of evaluation processes, and preparation of decision proposals for the foundation's committees
  • Development of an interdisciplinary scientific lecture program
  • Operational preparation and execution of scientific lecture evening events
  • Management of our inhouse publications (including proofreading) and coordination of publishing releases
  • Coordination and support of visiting scholars during oneyear fellowships
  • Expansion of the foundation's network with universities, nonuniversity research institutions, libraries, and science and cultural organizations

Requirements:

  • Completed doctorate
  • At least five years of professional experience in science management or in the field of science (after obtaining the doctorate)
  • At least three years of leadership experience
  • Strong interdisciplinary interest
  • Confidence in dealing with guests from both domestic and international backgrounds
  • Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
  • High level of planning, coordination, and organizational skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work outside of regular working hours
  • Relevant IT skills
