What you'll be doing:
Recruit, motivate and retain a team of high-performing and driven Associates
Work closely with the Associates to improve morale by motivating through effective coaching and facilitating personal growth
Work with other department leaders to cultivate a welcoming and team-focused environment
Communicate effectively with Associates and all levels of management
Create and implement workplace safety plans and procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies including OSHA, EPA.
Evaluate safety practices and procedures for risk assessment
Conduct accident prevention training and safety training
Inspect all vehicles and equipment to ensure operational safety
Analyze accident reports and evaluate injuries based on available facts
Identify and celebrate operational successes; develop and implement strategies to capitalize on opportunities address areas of improvement, and execute accordingly
Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
What we're looking for:
Minimum 2 years of college or equivalent
Four years of warehouse experience, of which two years must involve warehouse department management
Experienced in OSHA and EPA safety standards
Knowledgeable in worker's compensation regulations
Ability to integrate changing processes and procedures, managing time and resources effectively
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Strong leadership skills, flexible and innovative with a collaborative style
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs., ability to bend, stand, walk for prolonged period of time
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends
Ability to travel between Distribution Centers and Retail Stores within the state of Florida
Able to submit to a Drug Test and Background Investigation.
