Well established Construction Company in southern Anne Arundel County seeks Safety Manager coordinate with operations to ensure a productive and safe work environment.
The Safety Manager should have experience in Outside Plant and Structure Cabling Construction environment. This full-time position reports to the President.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities, not limited to:
- Develop and ensure safe equipment operating techniques.
- Plan, lead, and participate in job site safety meetings.
- Review and update monthly, all sitespecific safety plans with the project teams.
- Follow up with subcontractor representatives to ensure proper disciplinary procedures.
- Implement, inspect, and maintain job site and office manuals. Train employees in various safety procedures according to the construction safety management plan.
- Conduct periodic safety inspections on all job sites to ensure safety procedures are in place.
- Record and compile data, update logs, monitor equipment, and schedule maintenance.
- Update and maintain the company's contingency and recovery plan.
- Perform and oversee the investigation of accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions including interfacing with workers' compensation claims.
- Communicate with injured workers and plan return to work strategies.
- Maintain Company Written Safety Policy Manual Completed investigations of any incidents involving damage to property or work related injuries
- Maintain Customer/Contract Safety Compliance Requirements to include AHAs and Third Party sites
- Fall Protection, Confined Space, Lift Safety and Traffic Control Training Certification
- Perform Site Visits (Daily) (Including Sub Contractors)
- Maintain and update the OSHA 300 Log
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities, not limited to:
- Four plus years' experience in construction safety and health program management.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA, local safety laws, and other regulatory agencies.
- Sound/ethical judgment, strong leadership skills, and ability to work independently.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- CPR/First Aid Certified with ability to train and certify field personnel.
- OSHA 30 Hour Construction Certification
- OSHA 10 Hour required for all field crew hands
- OSHA Injury and Illness logs experience working on commercial or civil construction projects.
Pay:
$90, $100,000.00 per year
