    Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPlanet Aid is a nonprofit organization that collects and recycles used textiles to protect the environment and support sustainable development in impoverished communities around the world is seeking part-time Retail Sales / Production Associates.

    Reporting to the Store Manager, these new hires will work in our Thrift Store located in Rockville, MD.POSITION OVERVIEWThe Retail Sales Associate will be primarily responsible for working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products, and recommend the right solutions.

    The SA should also be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum customer satisfaction. The SA should stay up-to-date with product features and maintain our store's visual appearance in high standards.

    The Retail / Production Associate will also be responsible for sorting and preparing merchandise for sale on the retail floor, housekeeping and safety, loss prevention in adherence to all company and Store policies/ standards.

    Must have evening and weekend availability.

    RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer serviceMaintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areasRemain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss the available optionsHandle cash, credit or check transactions with the customerSorts and prepares merchandise for shipment to the sales floor; assist in stock rotation and maintaining racks in an organized and presentable mannerMaintains merchandising standards through product replenishment, display maintenance, colorization, sizing and inventory classificationOther responsibilities may be assignPlanet AidPlanet Aid's mission is to inform, mobilize, and inspire individuals and communities to work together to bring about worldwide environmental and social progress.

    RequirementsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh School DiplomaAt least 6 months of retail/customer service experience preferredDemonstrate consistent, positive behavior with internal and external customersSeeing the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, inventory, and other resources.
