Planet Aid is a nonprofit organization that collects and recycles used têxtiles to protect the environment and support sustainable development in impoverished communities around the world is seeking part-time Retail Sales / Production Associates.

Reporting to the Store Manager, these new hires will work in our Thrift Store located in Rockville, MD.


POSITION OVERVIEW


The Retail Sales Associate will be primarily responsible for working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products, and recommend the right solutions.

The SA should also be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum customer satisfaction. The SA should stay up-to-date with product features and maintain our store's visual appearance in high standards.

The Retail / Production Associate will also be responsible for sorting and preparing merchandise for sale on the retail floor, housekeeping and safety, loss prevention in adherence to all company and Store policies/ standards.

Must have evening and weekend availability.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service
  • Maintain instock and presentable condition assigned areas
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss the available options
  • Handle cash, credit or check transactions with the customer
  • Sorts and prepares merchandise for shipment to the sales floor; assist in stock rotation and maintaining racks in an organized and presentable manner
  • Maintains merchandising standards through product replenishment, display maintenance, colorization, sizing and inventory classification
  • Other responsibilities may be assign

Requirements:


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma
  • At least 6 months of retail/customer service experience preferred
  • Demonstrate consistent, positive behavior with internal and external customers
  • Seeing the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, inventory, and other resources.
  • Ability to present a positive public image for the betterment of Planet Aid
