- Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
- Develop and execute the electrical engineering strategy, goals, and objectives aligned with the company's overall business strategy.
- Oversee the design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment used in natural gas operations, including power distribution, substations, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and project management, to ensure the effective integration of electrical systems and equipment.
- Implement and update electrical systems for facilities and stations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety codes.
- Develop and maintain electrical engineering standards, specifications, and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, codes, and safety standards.
- Conduct technical evaluations and assessments of electrical equipment, systems, and technologies to identify improvement opportunities, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
- Provide technical expertise and support during the development and execution of capital projects, including feasibility studies, budgeting, equipment selection, and procurement.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and contractors, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and effective project execution.
- Stay updated on emerging electrical engineering trends, technologies, and best practices in the natural gas industry and provide recommendations for their adoption.
- Support incident investigations and root cause analyses related to electrical systems failures or incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the electrical engineering team, promoting a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering roles within the natural gas industry, with a focus on electrical systems and equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team of engineers.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, codes, standards, and regulations relevant to the natural gas industry, such as NEC, IEEE, and API.
- Strong understanding of electrical power distribution systems, substations, control systems, and instrumentation used in natural gas facilities.
- Proficient in electrical design software, AutoCAD, and relevant engineering tools.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and practices, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex electrical systems and propose effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within budget and schedule constraints.

We are hiring an electrical engineering manager to design and implement complex electrical systems for natural gas utility facilities.
