Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Performs general cost accounting.·
Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.·
Maintains the general ledger.·
Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and assists with closing the monthly books.·
Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable
collections.·
Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.·
Maintains Fixed Asset List and enters new assets into the fixed asset system.·
Prepares weekly and monthly KPI's.·
Updates and maintains other metrics and reports.·
Helps with budgeting and forecasting.·
Helps with Monthly and Quarterly board meetings.·
Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.·
Approves and posts batches created by AP/AR Specialist.·
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
·
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.·
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.·
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.·
Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.·
Excellent Excel skills required, with proficient experience in Microsoft Office, and accounting software.·
Ability to adapt to change.·
Private Equity experience required
Education and Experience:
·
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field, required.·
At least three years of related experience required
Physical Requirements:
·
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.·
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
