    Job Description

    Responsible for planning and controlling every stage (from pre-construction, through to completion) of roofing installations or repairs to commercial and governmental properties for multiple concurrent construction projects. Work sites will be in varying states. Complete projects on time and within budget, while ensuring that roofing teams work in safe conditions.

    Responsibilities

    1. Determine materials and manpower required for each roofing project to include estimation procedures.
    2. Estimate the time to complete each roofing project and coordinate with teams, as appropriate.
    3. Determine materials required for each project and devise delivery schedules to ensure project efficiencies are maximized.
    4. Plan and execute safety plans and compliance oversite.
    5. Identify and rectify any practical problems in achieving the planned result.
    6. Supervise teams and inspect the quality of work to ensure standards are met.
    7. Ensure full compliance with all safety guidelines.
    8. Prepare and deliver reports detailing the progress of all roofing work.
    9. May perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing project management.
    2. Demonstrated effective supervisory skills.
    3. Ability to motivate and direct the actions of others.
    4. Experience in project costing and planning.
    5. Excellent knowledge of roofing techniques and materials.
    6. Outstanding communication skills.
    7. Proven ability to work under minimal direct supervision.
    8. Possess a thorough knowledge of roofing legal issues and safety standards.

    Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.

    Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Supervisory Responsibility

    Directly supervises multiple employees and subcontractors on multiple projects and/or locations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
