- Advanced Level in Microsoft Excel is required. Proficient in Microsoft Applications including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint etc.
- Experience with overseeing management of Information Technology outsourced to third party vendor.
- Bachelor's degree in finance and/or accounting from a four-year accredited college or university required.
- A minimum of 7 years' experience in professional accounting with at least two of those years at the Controller level or equivalent required, preferably in a large-scale homeowner's association operation, upscale country club, or resort.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience managing a finance/accounting team required.
- Experience with Enumerate (formerly TOPS) software a plus.
- HOA Industry Certifications (CMCA, AMS, PCAM) a plus.
- Provide operational and strategic financial guidance to the association's management team and Board of Directors.
- Lead the department in efforts to automate functions to improve workflow.
- Development departmental policies and procedures for effective operations.
- Perform financial close and prepare the monthly financial reporting package for the Board of Directors.
- Prepare interim departmental financial reports for the management team.
- Attend board meetings when necessary to present financial reports and data.
- Attend and lead finance committee meetings.
- Lead the annual budget process to the budget committee, up to the Board of Directors for final approval and adoption.
- Monitor actual performance versus the budget and work with department heads to ensure that budget goals are obtained.
- Oversee daily cash positioning to ensure optimal liquidity for operational needs, including managing bank balances and initiating necessary transfers.
- Develop and maintain banking relationships, negotiating bank fees and analyzing bank services to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Design and enforce internal controls and policies related to cash management to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with staff to reconcile cash transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Coordinate and manage the annual financial audit process with the outside CPA firm.
- Oversee the hiring and development of finance department staff
- Supervise the department, providing mentorship, guidance, and support in daily operations.

Eagle Lake Community Association is a recreational private park model home community located in Gouldsboro, Lackawanna County, PA. We are one of the premier private communities in the Poconos. We are currently seeking a talented, high-performing Director of Finance to oversee all financial operations of the community. The Director of Finance will oversee all aspects of full cycle accounting to effectively coordinate the financial activities of the organization, report results, maintain control, protect assets, and project the financial forecast of the organization so that the Board of Directors and Management Team can make informed decisions.
