- Select the appropriate target customer base to make cold calls and build relationships with.
- Presenting company products and services to new customers, closing sales to gain new accounts.
- Maintain relationships with current customers to expand accounts.
- Educate and train members in the distribution network, including OEM's, to assist in the sale of products and services.
- Meet or exceed sales forecasted sales and profit goals each year, per entity, working as a team of inside and outside sales. Other measurable factors include new customer list, sales presentations, top 50 accounts, and overall expenses.
- Follow up on sales inquiries and provide quotes.
- Work to resolve customer problems and initiate solutions.
- Maintain customer files and accounts with accurate information.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- 1-3 years of inside sales training.
- 3-5 years of outside sales experience in the belting industry is preferred.
- Excellent application and product knowledge including assembly/fabrication of products.
- Knowledge of market, customer base, competition, and products sold in assigned territory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to present yourself and the company in a positive light, creating a desire for them to conduct business with Beltservice.
