Job Description

The Vertical Lift/Rotorcraft Systems Engineering team in Government Training Engineering (GTE) is currently seeking

Senior Systems Architect

to join their team in Hazelwood, MO.

Candidates will belong to a systems engineering team interacting with customers, suppliers, program management, integration, and test engineers.

The selected applicant will be a member of a geographically dispersed, high-performing, collaborative team, and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, excellent time-management, and interpersonal skills.

This team operates in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to support all aspects of product development.

The applicant will be expected to actively help the team to continuously improve and develop innovative and creative solutions to products and processes and to coach the team in systems engineering and integration best practices.

GTE is responsible for designing, developing, building, integrating, delivering and upgrading flight and maintenance training solutions for the warfighter.

The simulators developed are not off the shelf video games but are high fidelity, tech heavy, fully immersive training machines that allow the warfighter to maintain their mission readiness in their pursuit to defend freedom around the world.

GTE supports multiple aircraft and rotor-craft platforms, including the AH-64 Apache attack helicopter, the P-8 Poseidon

anti-surface/submarine

warfare aircraft, the F-15, F-18, and F-22 tactical aircraft, the MQ-25 Stingray aerial refueling drone, the T-7 jet trainer, KC-46 Tanker aircraft and the C-17 Globemaster responsible for decades of military and humanitarian efforts.

Position Responsibilities:

Collaborate and contribute within an agile, cross-functional engineering team to develop and deliver quality products and value to our customer at critical, technical milestonesDevelop and maintain performance, specification, and compliance requirementsEstablish, maintain, and demonstrate traceability between the requirements, analysis, and design in digital systems models being developed by Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and practicesDevelop and maintain MBSE modeling and deploy MBSEDevelop systems design description and systems architecture roadmapPerform analysis of alternatives/trade studiesPerform iterative systems integration of hardware and software on development assets as part of a continuous integration and delivery pipelineTroubleshoot system-level issues on development assetsDevelop and document system standup and integration proceduresSupport iterative and formal testing eventsContribute to defect management and resolution activitiesSupport the systems integration plan and activities at customer sitesCandidate expected to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexityCandidate expected to work under general supervision and no instructions are required for routine work.

Receives general directions for special assignments and work is reviewed for sound technical judgment and overall adequacy

This is a hybrid position that allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with MBSE modeling via Cameo/Rhapsody/MSOSA tool and MBSE deployment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):14 or more year's related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Consultant)Basic or intermediate experience in operating system (Windows and/or Linux) installation, setup, and basic troubleshootingBasic or intermediate experience in software application installation and configurationBasic experience in configuration and maintenance of network switches and other appliancesExperience with military assault, attack, or lift rotorcraft such as the AH-64, AH-6i, CH-47, UH-1, and UH-60.

Experience in requirements elicitation, systems integration, or systems testAbility to interpret and utilize mechanical drawings and electrical schematics to validate installation of hardware and system interconnectsExperience in supporting a product through an entire development cycleExperience with Design Synthesis and ValidationExperience working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile development environmentExperience with

and Systems IntegrationExperience with the flight or mission critical systems and their capabilities typically found in military aviation – including propulsion, navigation, sensor, and weapon suites.

Experience with military assault, attack, or lift rotorcraft such as the AH-64, AH-6i, CH-47, UH-1, and UH-60.Experience with US Navy Maritime Patrol Aviation assets (P-8A, P-3, HS-60, etc)Experience with CONOPS developmentExperience in developing systems architecture roadmapsExperience in supporting systems engineering design reviews (SRR-CDR, SVR, TRR)Experience with performing systems engineering activities in full systems engineering lifecycleExperience in performing multiple tasks and in a team environmentIntermediate competency level in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Summary Pay Range Senior (Level 4): $119,850- $162,150Summary Pay Range Consultant (Level 5): $147,050- $198,950
