    About YOU and the Roles Purpose:

    As our firms Systems Engineer, you will Install, configures, and tests operating systems, software applications, and system management tools. You will ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability or redundancy as well as implementing warranty and support activities. Evaluates the existing systems and provides the technical direction to IT support staff.

    Job Description and Responsibilities:
    • Understand and follow the IT Policies and Procedures of the IT Dept and all other managing guidelines of the business.
    • Manage, support, administer, patch, and maintain servers, cloud environment and company infrastructure.
    • Monitors server environments to meet business SLAs for uptime and peak performance. Troubleshooting issues when issues are found of performance degrades.
    • When necessary, engages with vendor or 3rd parties for support or to resolve issues.
    • Perform physical labour as needed to move and install hardware, equipment, and technology.
    • Participate in or lead internal projects to accomplish goals of the business.
    • Expert level administration to optimize hosts, servers, and Infrastructure to create high availability to meet the standards for availability.
    • Install and/or configure operating systems, software, hardware components. When necessary, leveraging other team members to accomplish tasks, or provide support.
    • Document designs, procedures, maintenance and support procedures by topology and word documents.
    • Perform continuous maintenance: research software updates, drivers, vulnerabilities of hardware/software, redundancies, and security issues.
    • Conduct high-level root-cause analysis of service interruptions and establish preventive measures.
    • All other constituted to meet the needs of the business.
    • User support and issue management by phone, email, and Service Desk ticket system.
    • Collaboration with senior technical staff and customers to perform server assessment, must be able to work from ticketing system.
    Qualifications and Requirements:
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience administering an Azure or Cloud environment. Experienced with using best practices to maintain cloud environments.
    • Understanding of SAN/NAS storage administration in a Windows Server environment
    • Experience with Active Directory administration and Windows Server and Cloud environment administration. Exchange experience a plus.
    • Familiarity with most modern operating systems, primarily Windows Server implementations.
    • Knowledge and working history of VMware environments.
    • Able to work with vendors or 3rd party resources for internal projects or support.
    • Able to manage individual time, meet deadlines, organize schedule, and prioritize tasks, projects or issues.
    • Must be able to participate in a team environment and be part of a team.
    • Bachelor in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
    • Certifications in Windows, Azure, AWS, VMware are preferred.
