- Collects, evaluates, interprets, and documents research data to accomplish the objectives of a wide variety of research projects.
- Develops dashboards and ongoing data monitoring systems to support research projects and long-term evaluation projects.
- Influences project direction and outcomes by identifying opportunities to enhance, terminate, or re-direct research activities.
- Oversees the recruitment of study participants for surveys and field interviews, and the development of standard operating procedures for tracking the progress of participants.
- Evaluates and interprets data and provides results to investigators to support publication.
- Maintains quality control checks on data collection activities in compliance with all governmental and University policies, rules, regulations, and codes.

Position Summary:
Works with the Principal Investigator and study team on several state-funded projects focused on the early childhood period. This position will report to the PI for Texas Safe Babies and the Preschool Development Grant Evaluation. Both of these evaluations are multi-project and include collaborators and stakeholders from different universities and state agencies.

The candidate will work with the PI to plan, conduct, and direct a wide variety of studies focused on maternal and child health improvement.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Certification/Skills:
Considerable knowledge in basic and sophisticated equipment.
Preferred:
Experience setting up and monitoring studies in REDCap.
Experience setting up dashboards in Tableau
Experience or certification in Maternal Child Health
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field with three (3) years of related research experience including experience in a lead research role; or
Master's degree in a related field with one (1) year of related research experience including experience in a lead research role; or
Doctorate degree.
Minimum Experience:
Years of experience varies based on education level.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.

Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
