    We are actively seeking a Business Development Associate responsible for supporting the process of identifying, qualifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

    This position is based in the Washington, DC area (Maryland, DC, and Virginia with the potential for remote work for the right candidate.

    Work Description


    With guidance and training from BluePath's executive team, the Business Development Associate will identify opportunities, pursue leads, develop partnerships, and execute capture and proposal strategies within specified customer markets enabling BluePath to achieve its growth targets.


    The ideal candidate is a well-organized self-starter with experience in identifying competitive opportunities and a jack of all trades able to learn quickly and adapt.

    Previous sales, recruiting or proposal experience is required. Experience with solution-based sales in a professional services organization is preferred.

    Responsibilities

    Assist in developing and executing sales and capture plans to build revenue and profit growth within targeted accounts.
    Help build BluePath's partner network.
    Cultivate new business leads using GovCon tools like SAM and GovWin.
    Conduct customer and competitive intelligence gathering.
    Partner recruiting and teaming agreements.
    Manage the pipeline.
    Proposal process support.
    Achieve sales quotas established in collaboration with executive management.

    Minimum Requirements

    U.S. Citizenship
    Bachelor's Degree
    3-5 years of highly relevant experience

    Preferred Qualifications

    Demonstrated quota carrying sales background

    MBA
    Experience in applying federal sales methodology, technique, and best practices, emphasizing the Shipley Method
    Experience with proposals
