    Full time
    Description

About Airlink Airlink is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit humanitarian logistics organization that works with aviation and logistics partners to transport relief workers and emergency supplies for reputable non-governmental organizations (NGOs) responding to rapid-onset disasters and other humanitarian crises around the globe.

Today, Airlink's network consists of more than 50 commercial and charter airlines and 130+ international NGOs.

Airlink and its airline partners have transported more than 8,000 passengers and more than 4,500,000 pounds of cargo in support of a broad range of humanitarian initiatives that have provided aid to more than 23 million people.

Airlink has saved our NGO partners more than USD $14,000,000 in transport costs.

Looking forward, Airlink shows no signs of slowing down, with a three-year strategic plan that includes increasing our team by 25%, doubling our annual revenue, and diversifying our funding base.

To that end, we are seeking a Development Associate to support our expanding Development team in achieving its fundraising goals from corporate, foundation, individual, and government donors.

The primary function of the Development Associate will be to assist the administrative and project management needs of the team while engaging directly with donors and working across the organization on all aspects of resource development.

This role's dynamic nature requires exemplary administrative and people skills.

The ideal candidate will have keen attention to detail, be able to pivot seamlessly between priorities, and excel in a fast-paced environment.

Due to the nature of Airlink's mission supporting disaster response, there will be an occasional need to work extended hours or on weekends with limited advance notice.

Assist in scheduling meetings and calls with prospective and current donors.

Work with the finance team to prepare invoices, follow up on outstanding pledges, and reconcile financial records.
Prepare dashboards and monthly reports to track progress toward goals.
Work with the operations team and consultants to troubleshoot Salesforce issues and identify potential alternative CRM solutions.
Maintain fundraising best practices and trends in the sector.
Ensure compliance with related privacy policies and procedures. Volunteer, Committee & Event Support (25%) Support outreach to Ambassador and volunteer networks.
