OVERALL POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Associate, Development Support is responsible for execution of development donor care activity including donation processing and stewardship.

As a member of the Development Support team, the Senior Associate is often the first point of contact for donors and supporters as they seek to engage with WFP USA more deeply.


Highlighted Responsibilities:


  • Serve as the first point of contact for various stakeholders including donors, partners, other supporters, and route inquiries to relevant team members.
  • Stay up to date with organizational events and messaging guidelines, research topics as needed in order to accurately respond to simple and complex donor inquiries.
  • Monitor systems and work with account managers to ensure gift coding and designations accurately reflect donors' intent.
  • Track online and offline donations, including facilitating the daily gift upload and regular reconciliation processes.
  • Coordinate gift acknowledgement related activities ensuring letters meet high quality standards and specifications/customization requests defined by donor/partner relationship managers.
  • Monitor and ensure that vendor partners adhere to contractual deliverables and flag any concerns related.
  • In partnership with Development Support team, and under the guidance of supervisor, keep departmental process documents up to date for others to easily reference and learn from.
  • Partner with CRM team to promote and support
    clean donor data, record creation, and record maintenance based on best practices.
  • Participate in the production of uptodate stewardship materials in partnership with other development team members for use in fundraising efforts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across different departments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Background

  • A Bachelor's degree required
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in donor relations and development operations in a mission oriented nonprofit environment
  • Experience with constituent relationship management systems

Knowledge and Experience

  • Strong customer service and problemsolving skills
  • Experience synthesizing information and communicating complex information in a compelling and succinct manner
  • Detailoriented and highly organized
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experienced in using online databases and other sources for donor management
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
  • A high level of computer literacy required, including familiarity with constituent management systems, proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, advanced knowledge of Excel and document management tools
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle competing projects, priorities, and deadlines
