Seeking Development Associate

The Essential Theatre, a non-profit, professional theatre company in Washington, DC is currently seeking a Development Manager. The hybrid position is a consultant position allowing most work to be performed virtually. Because of the nature of this position, all applicants must be local to the Washington, DC region.
- Position hourly
- Payment commensurate with experience
- Reports to Artistic Director
The
Development Associate will support the development activities of The Essential Theatre related to individual contributions on a per project basis and will provide support to overarching development activities of the company as assigned.
Handling associated amenities and stewardship duties.
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills.
- A twoor fouryear college degree specific to the field or a related field equivalent to Arts Management or Human Services.
- Must be computer literate with specific focus on Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, and considerable experience with social media platforms and fundraising software tools.
