Job Title: Staff Accountant

Reports to: Assistant Controller

Department: Avfuel Accounting

Location: Ann Arbor, MI, Onsite position in a Corporate Office Environment

Job Summary:

Avfuel is a global aviation supplier of fuel and services with transactions in 140+ countries and we need your help to continue our growth.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Prepare Journal entries

General Ledger Maintenance

Assist with monthly close, forecasts and budgets

Reconcile and problem solve to maintain balance sheet accounts

Independently research and correct billing, inventory and tax discrepancies.

Assist with special projects as needed

Effectively communicate with operational team and management

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to work with high volume data and information

Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, other accounting software a plus

Organized, neat with strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Flexible approach to accomplishing goals

Positive winning attitude

Strong problem solving skills: situational awareness, options and recommendations

Team oriented approach to problem solving

Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various internal and external customers

Attention to detail is imperative

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Accounting

3-5 years of experience in similar accounting and/or operations environment

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
