- Oversee the activities of production and operating employees under the direction of the Manager.
- Develop and implement short- to mid-term strategies to meet business objectives for Hoshin.
- Make decisions based on current business conditions aligned with the corporate vision.
- Gather and analyze information from work sites to identify root causes of business issues and recommend improvements.
- Conduct root cause analysis on floor issues and propose actionable improvements.
- Direct and assign work schedules, tasks, and duties to production staff.
- Monitor production results and processes to proactively maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Prepare and present departmental reports to the Manager and executive management.
- Complete necessary documentation, including status changes, time-off requests, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with the Human Resources Manager to identify and interview potential job candidates.
- Interpret work orders, specifications, and company policies for employees.
- Work with team members to identify areas of growth and development.
- Assist the Manager in developing and implementing standard work instructions.
- Comply with safety policies and procedures.
- Adhere to TS 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standards.
- Perform 5-S activities to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a production department.
- Willingness to cross-train.
- Proficient in oral and written communication.
- Experience overseeing a team of 50+ employees.
- Strong understanding of planning, scheduling, and inventory systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Preferred experience in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of Lean or TPS practices is preferred.
