Job Description:


Contributes to a strong risk management culture through collaboration with other Governance team members, EFM stakeholders, and with 1B, second & third line functions to ensure Compliance, AML or operational risks are identified, mitigated, monitored and reported on an ongoing basis.


  • May act as the designated expert on compliance and/or Anti-Money Laundering requirements for the team. Knowledge of AML guidance, SAR filing processes and knowledge of policies within the bank a definite asset
  • Supports the business/group through internal/external audits or regulatory examinations and assists in development of action plans to resolve any identified issues.
  • As a key member of the Fraud Governance team, focus is primarily on playing an oversight role on Fraud processes within BMO; but broader, enterprisewide focus and knowledge of risk management practices is a requirement
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external risk stakeholders, can break down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Builds awareness, knowledge, and skills and, as necessary, provides communication, practical tools and ongoing support including making presentations and running meetings
  • Provides specialized consulting, analytical, reporting and technical support.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules. Works independently and regularly handles nonroutine situations.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed

Qualifications:


  • Typically between 7 years of relevant experience and postsecondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Fraud knowledge and experience in Fraud team 5 years plus, experience in a risk function and knowledge of BMO's risk management practices is a requisite
  • Verbal & written communication skills, creation of PowerPoint materials
  • Indepth.

  • Data driven decision making, excel proficiency, power BI
  • Indepth.

Compensation and Benefits:

$72, $134,500.00


Pay Type:

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type.


Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.

For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
