    Job Description Job Description Organizational SummaryMaternity Care Coalition (MCC) is a community-based nonprofit organization serving Pennsylvania and Delaware with over four decades of commitment to improving maternal and child health and early care and education.

    MCCs mission is to improve the health and well-being of pregnant women and parenting families and enhance school readiness for children 03.

    We achieve this through direct service, advocacy, and research, in collaboration with individuals, families, providers, and communities.

    We envision a future where parents impacted by racial and social inequities can birth with dignity, parent with autonomy, and raise babies who are healthy, growing, and thriving.

    Position SummaryThe CES Lead Advocate is responsible for coordinating coverage to respond to incoming phone calls, texts, and/or web inquiries, ensuring compliance with program deliverables, and supporting department development.

    The CES Lead Advocate establishes and maintains relationships with collaborative partners, processes referrals, and supports agency outreach efforts. Supervises a team of up to 3 staff and conducts regular reflective supervision. This position requires in-person work within the community.

    FSA and Commuter plansEssential FunctionsAdministrativeAdheres to MCCs Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and CES policies and procedures to ensure adherence to agency and program standardsSupervises 3 staff, conducts regular reflective supervision, and maintains accurate supervision recordsProvides coverage to incoming phone calls, text and/or website inquiries from community members seeking reproductive, sexual, maternal and child health services, parenting supports, and social support resourcesMaintains regular contact with collaborative partners to facilitate health referrals and social support resources for familiesSupports quality assurance measures by monitoring referral entries & outcomes and community outreach eventsCompletes report(s) timely as required by the DirectorMeets with supervisor regularly to report on and discuss workSupports department recruitment efforts by participating in interview processesFacilitates regular team meetingsSupports the team in problem solving, identifying SDOH resources, outreach strategies, etc.

    Ensures confidentiality of family records, sharing pertinent information only with approval (exception for mandated reporting requirements)Prepares performance evaluations with input from staffStrengthens own and staffs skills through professional developmentRoutinely uses MCC family database(s) and other computer systems including e-mail, Internet, and Microsoft Office programsCommunity OutreachSupports the development and implementation of MCC literacy initiativesSupports the development of strategic outreach plans to engage community members in MCC programs and initiativesConducts health promotion activities by providing MCH education, literacy information, distributing period supplies, and STI prevention materialsAttends community meetings, health fairs, and represents MCC as neededOther TasksAdheres to MCCs security guidelines and ensures the appropriate handling of sensitive informationAttends relevant staff meetings to promote communication and execution of goalsTrains new Advocates as requestedOther duties as assigned within the scope of position expectationsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesUnderstanding of MCCs mission, vision, and Theory of Change (TOC), and DEIJ objectivesStrong interpersonal skills as demonstrated by compassionate, culturally aware, courteous, cordial, cooperative, interactions with diverse groups of co-workers, community partners, families, and community membersAbility to work independently with a high level of energy and contribute as part of a larger teamKnowledge of the concepts and practices associated with community health issues and social determinants of health, particularly with pregnant people and parenting families served.

    Ability to travel in and around MCCs service region to conduct community outreachKnowledge of and sensitivity to issues facing the communities servedExperience in procedures for determining service eligibility, assessing needs, identifying resources, making referrals, following up, and documenting family interactionsAbility to organize tasks in an efficient manner and follow-through with strong attention to detail.

    Experience, Education, and LicensureAssociates degree in social work, Public Health, Human Services, Womens Studies or related field required4+ years experience providing services in a community settingKnowledge of reproductive, sexual, and maternal child healthBilingual Candidate strongly encouraged to applyValid drivers license with driving experience required#J-18808-Ljbffr
