    Description

    Director of Asset Protection Operations

    The Director of Asset Protection Operations will lead, develop, prioritize and implement cross functional initiatives that support organizational strategies across business units of Stores, Supply Chain and Corporate Offices. This business leader will be a collaborative change agent, recommending and influencing program and process improvement to drive productivity, achieve KPI benchmarks, and support reduced shrink. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong attention to detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. Having the drive and capability to shape a new business group strategy and foster ideas and solutions is necessary.

    This position will be responsible for National Asset Protection Technology, Systems, Training and Program Management ensuring all initiatives meet the business objectives, timeline, and operate within the established budget.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Business Leadership
      • Develop and implement strategies that leverage current loss prevention industry best practices. Work with business leaders and key stakeholders through the execution of strategies to monitor impact and adjust plans accordingly.
      • Leads AP team in developing and implementing business strategy and security processes to reduce risks and limit exposure in various aspects.
      • Engage in continuous planning cycles to drive future planning while anticipating future business changes and challenges.
      • Participate in large, cross-functional initiatives as a subject matter expert for Asset Protection programs.
    • Shrink Reduction
      • Support strategies for yearly shrink reductions and provide cross-functional support for shrink reduction tactics.
      • Develop strategies for strategic business plan goals and objectives, monitoring performance and defining tactical business plans.
      • Provide enterprise-wide dashboard reports to assess the effectiveness of the strategy and share results with leadership.
      • Manage multiple projects concurrently for shrink improvement and take a proactive approach to reduce shrink.
    • AP Technology and Systems Support
      • Oversee the deployment of state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative Asset Protection management standards.
      • Support location closing processes and manage company Civil Recovery Program and physical security programs.
      • Lead all physical security programs and systems such as Card Access and Burglary Alarm Systems.
    • People Development
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with Corporate partners and Field Leaders.
      • Act as a communicator and collaborator to support and make decisions on projects, coach partners, and empower project managers.
      • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to build a high-performing team with diverse backgrounds.
    • AP Training Program
      • Responsible for all elements of AP training program, incident review, and national compliance management.
      • Oversees the NPD process and drafts AP Policy and Procedures.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Criminal Justice or related field.
      • 15+ years of Asset Protection business experience.
      • 8-10 years' experience in managing Corporate Asset Protection and leading a team.
      • High-level strategic, operational, and interpersonal skills in loss prevention and organized retail crime.
      • Expertise in Asset Protection strategy development and risk management.
      • Skilled in making complex business/risk trade-off recommendations and decisions.
      • Capable of managing programs through metrics and strong project management skills.
      • Excellent leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
