    TALON is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our growing Third-Party Administrator (TPA) Market Sales team. Our ideal candidate has a combination of lead generation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a knack for being resourceful and driving initiative.

    Business Development Representative (TPA Market)

    The Business Development Representative (BDR) will help this growing company drive new customer acquisition. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who is looking to develop and advance their sales career at a fast-paced technology company. As a BDR, you will be responsible for contributing to the companys overall growth by scheduling demonstrations of our products and services and qualifying prospects discovered through phone calls, email campaigns, online marketing, conferences, and other acquisition and lead gen strategies. BDRs act as the tip of the spear for our sales team and drive opportunities for our Director of Sales.

    Responsibilities & Expectations:

    • Conduct persistent outreach to targeted prospects using marketing campaigns, LinkedIn, online tools, conferences, targeted lists, existing customer, and prospect databases
    • Communicate the value proposition to decision-makers and qualify them for potential sales opportunities
    • Leverage prospecting tools to research companies and identify key decision-makers
    • Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales to help them accelerate pipeline growth
    • Deliver against quota for qualified leads and key performance metric standards
    • Set virtual meetings with potential customers for the Sales Directors
    • Document success in Pipedrive providing accurate detail on all activities
    • Participate in knowledge sharing, training updates, and process optimization
    • Be attuned to the TPA landscape and healthcare market trends

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • College degree preferred
    • Experienced in B2B sales appointment setting
    • Prior experience as a BDR
    • Prior experience in healthcare technology sales, TPA market, or telehealth is a plus
    • Experience using modern sales technologies; Pipedrive, Zoominfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator are a plus
    • Exceptional and engaging communication skills
    • Ability to work independently with little guidance and collaborate closely with peers, cross-functional teams, and leadership
    • A proven history of overachieving targets and KPIs
    • Possess a positive, can-do, team-player mentality and attitude

    Travel is required. Must be able to travel up to 25%.
