    About the Role

    IMAX is looking for an experienced Facilities Operations Lead to join our Workplace team. This integral role will lead daily facilities operations, liaise with our engineering team, and drive impactful projects in the areas of facility upgrades, security, health & safety, ticketing, and operational streamlining. The IMAX Playa Vista Office is an owned facility with 24-hour critical systems, home to post-production, 3 theatres, 200+ employees, and VIP guests.

    What You'll Do:

    · Lead daily facility operations, including managing daily workflows, maintenance & cleanliness inspections, vendor management, and security/badge systems

    · Respond, prioritize, and address daily inquiries, urgent issues, and after-hours emergencies

    · Maintain reactive and preventative maintenance programs through facility inspection program to strategize for repairs, renovations and future development needs

    · Ensure a secure and compliant office environment following fire and life safety regulations and IMAX policies and procedures. Drive health and safety initiatives including building safety inspections and workplace safety programs such as ergonomics, fire and life safety, and emergency response

    · Manage 3rd party vendor agreements for scope, level of service, scheduling, and cost management

    · Maintain office inventory, supplies, and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment

    · Drive operational effectiveness by identifying inefficiencies and implementing innovative solutions

    · Assist in budgeting tasks, including processing accruals, invoicing, and informing budget preparation with estimates, and recommendations for services/upgrades

    · Participate in the planning and execution of moves/adds/changes, new hire office setups, and workplace reconfigurations

    · Assist with event coordination, including insurance requirements and scheduling. This may include weekends or after-hours work

    What You'll Need:

    · Facilities operations experience with conceptual knowledge of technical, architectural, and engineering operations

    · General understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, BAS, security, fire & life safety) in order to coordinate maintenance activities and communicate effectively with technicians and trade personnel

    · Ability to read technical drawings

    · Experience in facility related project management including understanding of technical requirements, design development, and sequence of construction.

    · Ability to calmly take the lead in the event of a building incident or emergency response

    · Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Slack, Asana, and MS Office

    Nice to Have:

    · Health and Safety experience and training

    · Service Now usage or implementation experience

    · Events experience is a plus
