    Job Overview:

    The role of business development associate is a key part of Liberty Wealth Management's new business efforts. The purpose of this role is to ensure new business leads are promptly booked and confirmed for initial appointments. Highly responsive and personal engagement with leads is key to successfully performing this job. This job will teach a candidate interested in the financial services industry all the ins & outs of tax planning, estate planning, and wealth management.

    • Experience speaking with business prospects over the phone.
    • Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
    • Understanding of CRM and tracking tools and general sales aptitude.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Convert prospects into booked business leads on advisors' calendars using:
    1. Phone skills.
    2. Email skills.
    3. Text message.
    • Take detailed notes about prospects during any/all conversations.
    • Distribute & collect the Liberty Group Questionnaire prior to booked meetings.
    • Transition the completed questionnaire to the appropriate advisor and/or team.
    • Engage consistently with various aspects of new business plans and timelines until leads are fully transitioned to advisors and teams.
    • Consistently attempt to reschedule cancellations of meetings prior to sending the lead back to marketing.
    • Manage reschedule requests on advisors' calendars.
    • Input all required new business leads and subsequent information into the CRM and new business tracking spreadsheets.
    • Manage all new business leads' workflows to ensure completion in a timely manner.
    • Help Identify rescheduling and cancellation trends and work with the Marketing and Sales team on ways to respond to and minimize reschedules and cancellations.
    • Work with the Business Development Manager to improve the efficiency and success of our process.
    • Transition appropriate leads (old, dead, unresponsive, etc.) into Drip campaign and properly label these leads within CRM.
    • David Hollander (Founder of Liberty Group) hosts a popular radio show on KNBR. This show produces leads on a weekly basis. Help convert incoming leads on Saturday morning for 1-1 1⁄2 hours.
    • Support Office Manager in welcoming guests (parking, refreshments, directing them to meeting rooms, alerting required staff), providing backup for all incoming calls, and assisting with Liberty Group office and building maintenance matters as needed.

    Success Metrics:

    • Responsiveness rate – 100% of new leads touched within 24 business hours.
    • Ability to convert leads into booked meetings.
    • Ability to meet quarterly AUM & revenue goals for:
    1. Liberty Wealth Management
    2. Hollander & Hollander, P.C.
    3. Liberty Tax Planners

It requires face-to-face discussions with individuals and teams, the opportunity to make decisions without supervision, and the fact that mistakes are not easily correctable and have serious consequences that impact the results of co-workers, customers, or the company. Requires being exact or highly accurate, meeting strict deadlines, and working with others in a group or team. Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting. Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
