    **Where we need help**

    Weve come a long way since launching Allbirds with one product, one website, and five employees in March of 2016. Now, we sell shoes in five countries, run three brick and mortar retail stores, and have big plans for the future. The People Team is looking for a Retail and Customer Experience (CX) People Business Partner to support the complex needs of our expanding flock across our Retail Organization on the East Coast and our distributed CX team. There is a second Retail People Business Partner who is responsible for our West Coast Retail Teams and Retail Operations.

    As a Retail and CX People Business Partner, you will work with Retail managers, District Managers, Director of Retail, and Associate Director of CX to unlock the potential of our Retail and CX employees and teams. This position will support our East Coast Stores along with our distributed Customer Experience Teams across the U.S. You will be a unifier, an employee champion, and a trusted partner. You will not only serve as a consultant and advisor on people related issues, but will also identify needs and support the development of solutions to a variety of complex business challenges.

    **What You'll Do:**

    Build relationships with managers and leaders to optimize team performance and engagement within our Retail and CX Organization.

    Partner with leaders and provide guidance in the following areas: career planning, performance management, change management, data reporting and analysis, employee relations, recognition programs, and strategic development.

    Listen to, follow up with, and build trust across the Retail and CX Flock so that you are doing things with and for our employees to help them successfully deliver on the business needs and customer expectations.

    Analyze trends and metrics to identify and support the development of solutions, programs and policies that support business and employee growth.

    Identify, escalate, and navigate employee relations issues with an empathetic, objective, solution-oriented approach.

    Analyze problems and deliver solutions where precedent may not exist.

    Support organizational design and change initiatives.

    Advise the design and execution of talent programs and processes.

    Flex seamlessly between designing and doing, between employees and managers, between the People function and being part of the business.

    **What You'll Need:**

    Ability to travel to Retail Locations (up to 25% of the time)

    BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience

    Minimum of 5 years of People Business Partner or generalist experience directly supporting managers and leaders

    A plus if you have experience with high-growth companies

    A combination of experience in the following areas: performance management, recognition programs, culture, engagement, coaching and development, talent management, conflict resolution, talent acquisition, data analysis, and complex employee relations management

    Demonstrated ability to think creatively and influence with or without positional authority

    Demonstrated ability to analyze data and communicate insights to stakeholders as well as to get creative when data does not readily exist

    Strong communication skills, both oral and written

    Demonstrated curiosity and motivation to roll up your sleeves and learn, at their core, how businesses operate

    **What Success Looks Like in the First 3 Months:**

    You have developed trust and partnership with the leaders and managers within your client groups.

    You have established yourself as a trusted confidant across and throughout your client groups.

    You have conducted informal listening exercises to better understand Talent priorities for your customer group, and working with the rest of the EX team, found ways to continually address the needs and improve the workplace.
