In this role, you will transform our application support operations from the old-fashioned reactive break-and-fix model to a strategic partner that creates real value and helps the business gain a competitive edge through technology-driven innovations.

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Transformative Leader: Transform the application support operations from the old-fashioned reactive, break-and-fix model to a strategic partner for the business.
    • Innovation Catalyst: Drive a "Business First" mentality within the application team, focusing on innovation and creativity in AI, automation, business intelligence, and process improvement.
    • Strategic Partner: Collaborate with executive management to create and exceed the IT department's annual goals, directly impacting business success.
    • Enterprise App Architect: Create the roadmap and execute the strategies and visions for the company's application landscape to generate actual business values. Direct business needs analysis and drive continuous process improvement and operational effectiveness.
    • Automation SME: Spearhead the implementation of process automation, data integration, and analytics solutions to propel application projects and unlock new possibilities.
    • Cross-Functional Champion: Foster seamless collaboration with the business teams, ensuring high levels of system performance, continuous expansion of usage of the existing system, and smooth deployment and user adoption of the application systems.
    • Data-Driven Decision Maker: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and Early Indicators of Future Success (EIFS) that directly translate to measurable business value.
    • Vendor Maestro: Cultivate strong relationships with key vendors while maintaining a meticulous application asset inventory tracking system.
    • Compliance Guardian: Partner with Internal Audit to administer and manage annual IT compliance audits and monthly internal reviews. Design policies and procedures to ensure system reliability, security, and effectiveness of IT controls.
    • Resilience Engineer: Develop budgets/policies/procedures to support the business applications. Design, implement, and test incident response, disaster recovery, and IT continuity plans, ensuring critical applications and systems remain operational during disruption.
    • Manager of the Company: Other duties as assigned.
    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    Non-Technical

    Technical
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
    • A minimum of 10 years in a leadership role, with 5 years of experience in application support and a proven track record of success, specifically in project management and supporting business applications, such as ERP systems, data warehouse, and CRM
    • In-depth knowledge of IT service management methodologies (e.g., ITIL)
    • Experience with ticketing systems, knowledge base, and configuration management tools
    • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and automation tools (e.g., Robotic Process Automation) to enhance support for AI and ERP systems
    • Knowledge of accounting and financial principles and experience with Dynamics, InEight, Coupa, Salesforce, and financial planning tools are highly preferred
    • Certifications in Project Management and ITIL are highly desired

    PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

    The incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable workplace accommodation.

    The individual must also be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment if required to work or visit the job site. This may include a hard hat, safety glasses, respirators, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, personal flotation devices, or other equipment as required by the work performed and the location of the work.

    The incumbent must remain calm during emergencies and respond appropriately, as dictated by the circumstances of the incident and as directed by the Safety Representative or other management personnel. The incumbent must also be capable of evacuating the work area in a timely manner should an emergency arise.
