- Perform the monthly and quarterly accounting close process and continuously improve processes to scale with the organization
- Oversee expense tracking as well as the procure-to-pay process
- Manage general ledger and review monthly and quarterly reconciliations
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Provide support and analysis in the preparation of management presentations
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the day-to-day operations as well as the close process
- Recommend and implement best practices regarding accounting policies and procedures
- Build relationships cross-functionally to foster collaboration both inside and outside of the finance and accounting teams
- Assist with the AR and AP staff
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- 5+ years of work experience in the accounting field
- Experience overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable department
- Experience in people management
- Audit experience and working with private equity-backed companies is a plus
