Position Summary:

MannKind is actively seeking a dynamic Manager of Accounts Payable to join our team, reporting directly to the Executive Director, Corporate Controller.

This pivotal role involves overseeing and actively participating in the full cycle of accounts payable processing, with a primary focus on implementing process improvements to ensure timely payments.


Principal Responsibilities:


  • Ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Develop new accounts payable processes or enhance existing processes.
  • Lead and manage the accounts payable team, offering guidance, training, and support to ensure highperformance levels.
  • Actively participate in the timely and accurate processing of invoices, ensuring proper coding, approval, documentation, and payment.
  • Lead and participate in the monthend closing process for accounts payable.
  • Oversee credit card transactions for T&E, purchase cards & vendor cards (Concur, AMEX).
  • Utilize Great Plains accounts payable (purchasing) module and Stampli payables automation software.
  • Investigate accounts payable issues as needed.
  • Cultivate relationships with vendors and colleagues.
  • Possess knowledge of tax and accounting laws and standards.
  • Engage in general accounting activities, including research, journal entries, and reconciliations.

  • Prior experience with employee expenses (Concur, AMEX, or similar).

Education and Experience Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related major.
  • 3+ years of managerial experience with direct reports.
  • 5+ years of accounts payable or related experience.
  • Proficiency in Great Plains Dynamics or similar ERP system.
  • Preferred: Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification.
