Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the compilation and processing of direct, indirect tax and property tax returns, supporting schedules, forms and worksheets and working with external consultants, as necessary.
Ensure all tax liabilities are identified and paid by the due-dates and be up to date with the tax compliance calendar.
Analyze and maintain tax records and perform tax account reconciliations.
Research tax issues and provide appropriate recommendations.
Work along with AP team in facilitating timely payments of taxes.
Work on special tax projects and other duties as assigned.
Team with internal and cross-functional teams in gathering and analyzing information required in the performance of duties to ensure consistent reporting.
Responsibilities may include extracting and analyzing data from internal systems, Statutory Annual Statement, and other financial documents.
Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies.
Manage the preparation of annual and quarterly federal and state tax compliance.
Utilize appropriate tools to obtain data necessary to support tax calculations, tax payments and related journal entries.
Assist on internal and external tax audits.

Minimum qualification & experience

A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
An advanced degree in taxation and/or a CPA designation is preferred.

Other knowledge/skills

A minimum of two-three years of relevant corporate tax experience is required or a minimum of two years of public accounting tax experience is required.
Intermediate knowledge of US tax concepts required. Some experience in telecom taxes is a plus.
Intermediate knowledge of computer application software, Microsoft excel, word, power point presentation required. SAP/S4H experience is preferrable.
Time management and communication skills required.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and to interact effectively with others across business areas required.
