    Description

    Project Specialist

    The Building Science Solutions (BSS) Group at Intertek's Building and Construction is looking for a Project Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a background in building enclosure consulting for new design, construction, and existing building enclosures diagnosis.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Assisting with new design consulting and peer reviews of building enclosure plans and specifications
    • Reviewing architectural drawings, shop drawings, and submittals related to building enclosures
    • Conducting field performance and water leakage testing of various building elements
    • Supporting construction administration services and conducting inspections
    • Performing forensic investigations and documenting existing conditions of building elements
    • Aiding in the design of building enclosures
    • Preparing technical reports, sketches, and details
    • Providing litigation support for relevant projects
    • Performing field water testing, inspections, site surveys, and documenting testing
    • Handling any other assigned duties

    Requirements for success in this role:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Architectural Engineering (preferred)
    • 3+ years of industry experience (preferred)
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, SketchUp
    • Field experience with various building types (preferred)
    • Registered Roof Observer (preferred)
    • Technical knowledge of building construction and enclosure systems
    • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and specifications
    • Capable of office and physical labor tasks
    • Efficiently working on projects independently and in a team
    • Strong organizational, project management, writing, and communication skills
    • Ability to meet deadlines consistently
    • Professional interaction with clients and project team
    • Willingness to travel based on project needs
    • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record (required)
