    The Vice President of Digital Marketing will lead the strategic plan and vision for Monster Energy's digital platform development: website content, community development, social media marketing, branded sites, ecommerce, and digital technology.

    The VP of Digital Marketing will serve as a leader and key advisor to the CMO in defining and directing the digital and communications strategy for the Monster Energy Company and its global brands.


    Essential Job Functions:


    • Envision and drive a plan for ongoing development, enhancement and maintenance of all company Web properties and brand sites.
    • Actively lead digital marketing organization; continue building a robust and talented digital marketing department through recruitment, training, coaching and mentoring.
    • Oversee Monster Energy's global digital marketing efforts across all social media networks including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube. Develop strategy and plan to grow Monster Energy's fan base and consumer engagement on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
    • Advise marketing leadership team on latest Web trends, best practices and standards.
    • Develop a content distribution plan for photos and video targeting consumers outside of brand's current customer base. Lead implementation of content plan and leveraging assets to ensure high-engagement content utilized in line with digital strategy.
    • Work to evolve and improve SEM and SEO strategies which deliver measurable results against specific marketing initiatives.
    • Develop a plan to grow Monster Energy's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram fan base.
    • Partner with internal departments, athletes, teams and personalities to develop content campaigns to further enhance image of company's brands. Work with the same group to develop the editorial calendar of content that will be distributed.
    • Collaborate and lead across internal and external customer landscape to include brand marketing, sports marketing, Monster athletes and artists, and Monster-sponsored events and associations.
    • Work closely with Brand Marketing, Innovations, Commercial, Sports Sponsorships and Operations to ideate, design and develop innovative digital experiences; frequently participate in senior leadership meetings to communicate and evangelize Monster Energy's digital strategy, share progress, discuss results and solicit feedback on critical decisions.
    • Analyze the effectiveness of the content distribution plan in gaining new eyeballs onto brand's content.
    • Manages and directs the work of the digital marketing staff in the U.S. and oversees the digital marketing strategy in international locations; disseminate the Company's brand strategies to the respective teams and ensure marketing standards are consistent with corporate directives
    • Interact with all levels of the organization and articulate a vision and develop & deliver supporting digital plans.
    • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies to acquire new fans and grow Monster Energy's community base.
    • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance accordingly.

    Position Requirements:


    • 10 or more years of consumer digital marketing experience.
    • Strong organization and project management skills with close attention to detail and the ability to multitask on several projects running concurrently.
    • Advanced knowledge of leading social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat).
    • Experience managing SEO/ SEM, social media, paid media.
    • Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics and other web metrics.
    • Previous experience working on corporate / brand social media for global organization.
    • Must demonstrate success in developing a brand's social media effort.
    • Proven experience in building innovative, proactive, high-impact digital channels; utilizing all relevant channels and aligning strategies with business goals in order to drive brand awareness and customer engagement.
    • Must show success in developing and executing a content distribution plan.
    • Ability to work in a team oriented environment and possess strong collaboration skills.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment and operate under minimal supervision.
    • Agility, flexibility, smart decisions, sense of urgency and a sense of humor are all valued.

    • Position is based at U.S. headquarters in Corona, California.

    Base Pay Range USD 237,000.00 to $279,000.00
