    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Director, Technology Business Management (TBM) - Strategy & Planning, you will own modeling to lead financial strategy enablement and decision support for strategic programs in the Enterprise Portfolio, including Employee Benefits Strategy Program. This includes but not limited to completing monthly reporting, forecasting, financial reviews, annual budget development, and capital investment planning. You will also be instrumental in supporting cost optimization strategy for these areas.

    The successful candidate will be initiative-taking and able to independently partner with IT delivery and portfolio management leaders to develop multi-year plans and model funding scenarios. They will have investment governance perspectives and the ability to synthesize an array of inputs into a coherent financial story or recommendation.

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Establishing strong relationships with IT leaders to promote open dialogue regarding technology strategy and ensure management has the analytics and operational insights necessary to understand the cost structure of the existing operating model, changes in that model and opportunities to optimize through informed decision making.
    • Leading or supporting project definition, idea generation and business case development. Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis on strategic issues while also delivering actionable insights and recommendations. Structuring analysis of technology, market and industry trends that will impact our business and propel the IT organization forward. Planning and executing work streams for discrete management-defined projects or subsets of enterprise projects.
    • Developing and maintaining processes to support annual planning, budgeting and forecasting for IT operating expenses and enterprise portfolio investments. Improving the forecasting process by partnering with IT leaders to manage risk, optimize vendor spending, and align funding requirements to business priorities (grow and transform versus run).
    • Manage robust financial models and analytics that will identify emerging trends, support decision making, and create forward-looking visibility.
    • Developing and delivering presentations and other strategic communications to ensure timely identification and understanding of critical issues facing IT leaders. Representative analysis projects include vendor analysis and selection, peer benchmarking, cloud migration strategy, or infrastructure automation.
    • Provide ongoing financial modeling and analysis expertise to senior IT leaders to support resource management, capital investment and procurement decisions.
    • Partner with TBM Analytics teams to detail requirements, test and validate the accuracy of Apptio reporting, or dashboard solutions deployed to users.
    • Align forecasts within Apptio to ensure leaders have visibility into the near and long-term expense projections.
    Knowledge & Skills:
    • Proven expertise in IT financial management processes such as budgeting, forecasting, cost allocations, and operational performance analysis.
    • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and relate capital and operating expense handling for internally developed software and cloud computing arrangements.
    • Highly developed problem solving and analytical abilities to frame problems, analyze solutions, and build detailed financial models to size strategic initiatives and deliver appropriate recommendations.
    • Knowledge of product or capability-driven funding models.
    • Understanding of IT infrastructure domains and application development from prior experience.
    • Strong project management, organizational and influencing skills: self-directed, and capable of engaging collaboratively across multiple functions to achieve results through others; express ideas clearly and persuasively in oral, written, and presentation forms.
    • Experience with Apptio, Workday Financials, HCM and Adaptive Insights
    • Advanced level proficiency in Excel (if statements, vlookup, power pivot/query), SQL and macros
    Professional certification preferred: CMA, FPAC, SAFe Lean Portfolio Manager (LPM)

    Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.
    • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
    Salary Range:
    $104, $153,500.00
