GEICO Technology Solutions' Customer Correspondence team is looking for a highly experienced and motivated Sr. Enterprise Content Engineer to assist with building modern cutting-edge solutions and services to deliver digital correspondence platform across all communication channels.

GEICO Technology Customer Correspondence team is responsible for building Enterprise services and solutions to support both paper and electronic customer correspondence that are consumed by Tech Sales and Service applications across multiple lines of business (Auto, Commercial, Umbrella and MOAT). We utilize modern development platforms and languages to develop custom solutions/services that enhance GEICO's digital capabilities in Customer correspondences for all lines of business.

The Sr. Engineer will be responsible for implementing enterprise form design solutions utilizing our Smart Communications Document Composition Software. Candidate must display strong architect skills with Smart Comm. The ideal candidate should have excellent CCM development experience with strong interpersonal/communication skills and demonstrate the ability to coordinate efforts across functional areas.

Responsibilities include:

• Building the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• Lead collaboration efforts with the software vendor on support tickets and design solutions.
• Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams
• Lead in design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization
• Define, create and support reusable application components/patterns from a business and technology perspective
• Train and mentor junior engineers on the team.
• May be required to be on call for production support 24x7.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years using Smart Comm Document Composition Software
• 3+ years with architecture and design
• 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
• 1+ years of people management experience
• Expertise on Java, JSON, Web services.
• Strong knowledge of Smart Comm concepts & development
• Knowledge about Smart Comm Modules - Data Modeler and Advanced Template Designer
• Knowledge of Smart Comm Appliance Configuration and Deployment Models - both Cloud/Hybrid
• Knowledge in generating Interactive communications (Draft Editor)
• Knowledge about Smart Comm API's
• Experience with XML data schema and data mapping
• Creating business form templates as per the business requirements, including data mapping, variable logic, styles, and layouts
• Streamlining form template development by recognizing common elements, information blocks, layouts, variable data requirements, and similar components
• Technical knowledge in creating Scriptable Batch Config/Template Selector and Output Configurations for batch processing
• · Understanding of Azure PaaS (Cloud Services and AKS) and IaaS services.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth.
• Must be able to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and have strong organization/priority setting skills.
• Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information, and to follow published standards and processes.
• Must be knowledgeable of infrastructure tools and management techniques and able to follow standards and processes that have been published.
• Must be able to provide systems training to team members as needed.
• Must be able to demonstrate a capacity to learn new technical concepts and to adapt to new technologies quickly.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment

Desired Skills:

• Insurance application knowledge on document generation and regulatory considerations is preferred.
• Any application migration experience from HP Extream to Smart Comm would be highly valuable.
• Experience on any other CCM tool is desirable
• Knowledge of BMC Software for batch management services, to include operator, scheduling, and Admin functions.
• Knowledge of Batch programming language to create .bat script file executables.
• Management and maintenance of operation job documentation and playbooks.
• PowerShell scripting, Azure Storage services, MoveIT and Automation Run books knowledge desired as we move our batch jobs to the cloud.
• DevOps Concepts, GEICO's Cloud Architecture
• Azure DevOps Operational Framework
• Understanding of Azure Ecosystem (Azure Cloud services, Kubernetes services, Service Bus, Azure Storage, Cosmos DB, Azure DevOps)
• Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe)
• Existing Operational Portals such as Azure Portal
• Monitoring Portals: Splunk or Application Insights
• Continuous delivery and infrastructure as code
