- Conduct cutting-edge research on turbulent boundary layer noise production, including factors like surface roughness, pressure gradient, and structural interactions.
- Support the research and development of noise simulation tools.
- Carry out advanced measurements (Particle Imaging Velocimetry, Laser Doppler Velocimetry) and analyze the outcomes.
- Estimate the spectral content of flow noise and compare it with model scale and full-scale measurements.
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Fluid Dynamics and 3-5 years of experience.
- Expertise in turbulent boundary layer flow and noise production is essential.
- Familiarity with spectral analysis of flow noise is a bonus.
- Active DoD SECRET Clearance is preferred, with the ability to acquire an Interim DoD Secret Clearance.
