    AdministratorORGANIZATION OVERVIEWCiti Christian Academy is a Christian Private school located in the urban core of Miami in the Allapattah neighborhood.

    CitiChurch exists to enhance Allapattah by providing direct educational & spiritual opportunities, strengthening families, and linking residents together in a supportive neighborhood.

    Citi Christian Academy is an extension of accomplishing this mission.

    SUMMARYto assist the Principal in providing leadership and supervision in administering the enrichment program and academic support to the school to promote students' educational development and achievement.

    To provide leadership in program development and improvement, as well as in professional staff development. To serve as Principal in the absence of the Principal.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties must be performed on-site. Other duties may be assigned.
    Professional CapacityAssists with hiring, supporting, developing, and retaining effective staff.
    Systems ManagementAssists with allocating resources to best support school improvement.

    Builds and maintains a safe and orderly school environment that meets each student's academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs.

    Provides coherent support services and accommodations to meet the needs of each student.
    Provides leadership and direction to staff regarding the ongoing evaluation and improvement of educational programs, especially enrichment activities.
    Assist in the budgetary and financial affairs of the school consistent with school board policies.
    Instructional LeadershipConducts high-quality classroom observations, identifies effective teaching practices, and understands pedagogy that improves student learning.
    Develops staff members professional knowledge, skills, and practice through differentiated opportunities for learning and growth.
    Assist teachers in selecting yearly professional goals for instruction improvement.
    Encourages staff to continue to grow professionally and experiment with new teaching approaches or strategies.
    Assists in developing and administrating school programs consistent with school board goals and objectives.
    Focus on Growth and AchievementLeads and facilitates the NWEA MAP Standardized testing three times per year.
    Uses assessment data appropriately to monitor student progress and improve instruction.
    Ensures curriculum, instructional models, and assessments are implemented with fidelity.
    Embodies high expectations for student learning and behavior.

    Assists with ongoing assessment of student learning and works with the principal to modify instructional methods to fit students needs, especially students with special needs.

    Encourages parental involvement in students education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
    Ensures student conduct and attendance conform to school standards and board policies.

    Ethics and ProfessionalismActs ethically and professionally in personal conduct, relationships with others, decision-making, stewardship of the schools resources, and all aspects of leadership.

    Provides moral direction for the school and promotes ethical and professional behavior among faculty and staff.
    Assists in ensuring the school implements and follows the Board policies and procedures.

    Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops, or professional meetings or conducting research.

    Ensures proper maintenance and documentation of employee personnel files.
    Adheres to all negotiated contract provisions.
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises enrichment staff and may supervise instructional staff as assigned.
    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability.
    Be a born-again, consecrated Christian.
    Model biblical, Christian behavior during work hours and in personal life.
    Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university.
    Three years of successful teaching/ administrative/ leadership experience.
    Educators certification or in the process of obtaining a certification.
    Bilingual
    • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English and Spanish.
    Able to pass a level 2 background screening.
    Possess a proven ability to work effectively with diverse individuals.
    Have high intrinsic motivation to learn, grow, and develop.
    Have a constant positive attitude and a Can Do spirit.
    Committed to confidentiality, no gossip, and no drama.
    Familiarity with and willingness to build relationships with Allapattah's stakeholders.
    Able to manage students at all levels in any environment.
    Commitment to the leadership team at CCA.Must have the ability to understand various roles and lines of authority.
    Have personal and reliable transportation.
    Have a personal and reliable smartphone.
    Previous experience as an administrator is a plus.
    COMMUNICATION SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret professional sources, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to staff, students, and the general public questions.
    REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited information. Ability to interpret multiple instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently sit and stand and almost continuously walk. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, and reach forward and above the head.

    The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (boxes of books, etc.) Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision.

    The employee regulars interacts with staff and the public in addition to meeting multiple demands and deadlines from several people.

    The employee must be able to move from place to place, building to building, and travel to attend meetings.
