- Leads the sales activities and strategic direction for Sales Managers who act as local market experts in their assigned region
- Collaborates with the Channel Sales team and Sales Managers to devise channel to market strategies for new business and ensures their effective implementation in the region
- Identifies necessary sales or partner resources to achieve strategies and sales goals
- Explores market opportunities and gaps using various market intelligence sources
- Discovers business drivers, new areas of opportunity, and incorporates customer feedback into strategies and plans
- Has a deep understanding of product and service offerings in the market and works on addressing any identified gaps
- Works with the regional sales team to pinpoint and close sales opportunities
- Develops plans for revenue growth and market share expansion
- Identifies growth opportunities, including target account lists
- Determines the value proposition
- Collaborates closely with the operations team (product management, engineering, quality, scheduling, etc.) as required to facilitate order processing
- Utilizes tools and processes to measure and oversee all activities
- Degree in Business Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development or Sales roles within a global manufacturing/engineering/industrial company
- Prior sales experience with engineering/technical products is essential
- Experience in industries such as chemical, O&G, mechanical engineering, or with rotating products like pumps, compressors, valves, turbines, etc., will be a significant advantage
- Strong business development background in identifying targets, generating prospects, converting them into customers, and nurturing long-term relationships
- Previous involvement in channel partner management
- Proven track record in establishing robust partnerships and influencing at all organizational levels
- Travel within North America up to 75% may be required based on business needs
- Acts as a bridge between Sales and Operations
- Self-motivated with outstanding time management and delegation abilities
- Fosters a culture of teamwork and positive interpersonal relations across all departments
- Actively listens to input from others and is receptive to ideas from various departments
- Brings enthusiasm to tackle business and market challenges, obstacles, or setbacks
- Establishes and nurtures positive working relationships within the team and across departments to devise effective solutions
