- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, fuel filter replacements, and other general diesel related preventative maintenance
- Keep up-to-date with all technical service bulletins and manufacturer recalls
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines and drivetrains
- Communicate with Service Advisors and customers to explain repairs needed and provide cost estimates
- Keep accurate records of all services and repairs performed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with diesel engines. Manufacturer specific knowledge with Chevrolet or Dodge is considered a plus
- ASE Diesel Certification or equivalent is preferred
- Strong understanding of automotive technology and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical information to non-technical individuals
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

McSweeney Chevrolet GMC/CDJR is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our team in Clanton, Alabama.
This is a full-time role where the ideal candidate will have previous experience working with diesel engines and a strong understanding of automotive technology.
As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for identifying and repairing diesel engine issues, completing routine maintenance tasks, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
