- Conduct initial assessments for guests,including those at the Oasis shelter,to identify their unique needs and develop personalized support plans.
- Connect guests with relevant internal and external resources like case management, legal aid, childcare, healthcare, education, and social services.
- Conduct outreach services and build relationships with guests at Oasis Shelter.
- Work with existing resources within St. Anthony's and in the community in a cooperative and collaborative manner to deliver the best services possible to program clients. Always serve as an advocate for your client.
- Maintain up-to-date information on internal programs and other social services and government programs to support guests.
- Collaborate with community partners to expand resource networks and service delivery for adults and children.
- Engage in creative problem-solving to ensure guests' needs are optimally met.
- Provide compassionate and supportive care to children and families,promoting healing and emotional well-being.
- Treat all guests with empathy, dignity, and respect. Seek to understand the other person's perspective and experience.
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively across cultures and an openness to learning about cultures not familiar to oneself.
- Facilitate workshops and activities aligned with SAF's 10 Elements to Stability and transformative goal-setting,fostering positive development and self-sufficiency.
- Organize engaging recreational activities and creative expression opportunities for children and families.
- Lead workshops on relevant topics like child development,positive parenting,coping with homelessness,financial literacy,and healthy relationships.
- Complete reports and all other documentation on time; records and files are kept neat and organized.
- Enter data and information electronically as required. Looks up data and reports electronically through a database as needed.
- Participate in regular training and development opportunities to increase personal capacity to apply innovative approaches to daily workflows and guest engagement.
- Champion the needs of women and children experiencing homelessness,participating in community engagement and advocacy efforts.
- Understand and follow the organization's programs, policies, and procedures
- Participate in relevant meetings supporting team communication and the program's capacity to fulfill organizational goals and mission.
- Collaboratively works with others to achieve team success.
- Manage stress and pressure situations calmly and responsively. Maintain the capacity to control reactions and awareness of how their behavior or response can impact others.

- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Child Development, Human Services, or related field, or five years of professional experience working with homeless populations (preferably women and children).
- Experience working in a non-profit or community-based social service agency.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral, and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to be polite, diplomatic, and firm. Can set limits and practice professional boundaries with guests, coworkers, and volunteers.
- Knowledge of San Francisco and surrounding area social service resources related to services for families and children experiencing homelessness. Or willingness and resourcefulness to acquire knowledge as needed.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and high-pressure situations in a self-composed and self-assured manner.
- Ability or willingness to learn to use information and communication technologies (computers, smartphones, and iPads) to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours and days (evenings and occasional weekends required).
- Ability to set appropriate limits and behavioral boundaries.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as cohesively with a team.
- Experience with conflict de-escalation skills is preferred. Must complete Crisis Prevention training within 6 months of hire.
- P.R./First Aid certification preferred. Must complete certification within 6 months of hire.
- Proficiency in a second language preferred (Spanish).
- Commitment to St. Anthony Foundation Statement of Values and a desire to work for a social services agency serving the poor.

Principal Responsibility
St. Anthony's seeks to provide best-in-class services that meet the unique needs of women at risk for or experiencing homelessness, with the goal of improving their stability and giving them upward social mobility. The Women's and Children's Program Coordinator plays a vital role in empowering women and children experiencing homelessness by providing outreach, service delivery, and care coordination. The Program Coordinator will be the bridge between guests and critical resources, providing support, and guidance.
