    SUMMARY

    The main role of the Developer III is to contribute, mentor, and actively participate in the development, support, and maintenance of Guidewire PolicyCenter application.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Act as a strong technical resource during various phases of development and implementation of Guidewire PolicyCenter and Insurance Suite.
    • Responsible for all aspects of SDLC including gathering requirements, coding, testing, and deployment of software.
    • Participate in planning, designing, developing, and maintaining application code in Guidewire PolicyCenter.
    • Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance to ensure optimal performance of systems.
    • Independently resolve complex production issues and lead troubleshooting efforts across multiple applications.
    • Conduct code/design reviews, participate in daily scrums, and contribute to project planning.

    Required Skills

    • 7+ years of experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter customization and configuration.
    • Proficiency in configuring new screens, rules management, plug-in development, and software integrations.
    • Experience with Policy Rating and building workflows in PolicyCenter.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience with Continuous Integration tools and design standards.
    • Self-motivated and capable of working independently and within a team.

    Desired Skills

    • ACE or Specialist certification in Guidewire PolicyCenter.
    • Knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
    • Familiarity with Guidewire ClaimCenter and BillingCenter.
    • Understanding of enterprise software concepts and Agile methodologies.
    • Knowledge of J2EE technologies and Design patterns.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position involves some supervisory responsibilities as we expand our team.


    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, IS, IT, or related field plus 7 years of progressive experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    An individual must demonstrate strong organizational skills, task management, and relationship management abilities. Computer proficiency and high-level customer service experience are essential for this role.


    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to read, comprehend instructions, and effectively communicate with stakeholders.


    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Proficiency in basic mathematical operations.


    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to apply common sense and problem-solving skills.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Requires sitting for long periods with occasional standing and walking.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Moderate noise level in the work environment.
