NATURE OF WORK:
Minimum Starting Salary:
Construction Inspector I -C: $ $31.21, per hour, depending on qualifications
Construction Inspector II-C:
$25.85 to $32.96 per hour, depending on qualifications
Construction Inspector III-C:
$27.46 to $35.01 per hour, depending on qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Associates Degree with construction related coursework in area of assignment.
Construction Inspector I C (Building): Minimum of five (5) years experience in building construction
required or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education, training, and experience.
Must be certified by the Florida Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board (B.C.A.I.) as a Standard Inspector - Building, or must obtain a State of Florida Provisional Certification (Standard Inspector - Building) within 4 months of date of hire and must obtain Standard Certificate within one year.

Must be certified by the Florida Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board (B.C.A.I.) as a Standard Inspector - Building. A valid Florida driver's license is
required. Position requires background check which includes a polygraph.
Construction Inspector III-C (Building): Minimum of nine (9) years experience in building construction
required or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education, training, and experience totaling nine (9) years.
Must be certified by the Florida Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board (B.C.A.I.) as a Standard Inspector - Building. A valid Florida driver's license is
required. Position requires background check which includes a polygraph.
VALID DRIVER LICENSE FROM ANY STATE MUST BE PRESENTED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW. VALID FLORIDA DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE.

- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
