    Idaho Power - located in vibrant Boise, Idaho - is looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Financial Accounting and Reporting team.

    It's an exciting time to work for Idaho Power.

    While this position is based at Idaho Power's downtown Boise location, we offer both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote.

    What does a Financial Reporting Accountant do for us? Participates in the preparation of Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.), including preparing and reviewing financial statements, footnotes, and Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A).

    Serves as contact for internal and external auditors, government regulators, and legal counsel. Analyzes financial information of IDACORP and its subsidiaries. Assists with conducting studies and makes recommendations based on sound accounting practices.

    Analyzes, interprets, and implements new accounting pronouncements to meet the company's accounting and reporting requirements; assists others in the application of new standards.

    REQUIRED SKILLS Knowledge of:
    + Generally accepted accounting principles and accounting and auditing theory + The impact of SEC and FERC regulations on financial reporting, including XBRL + Financial theory and analysis, such as financial statement variance analysis, ratio analysis, etc


    Skills in:
